Consultation Duration:

First Consultation is 15 – 30 mins (varies by individual, will require longer duration for complicated cases)

Follow-up Consultation: once a week or other treatment plans. Depending on the result from the previous treatment, prescription adjustments and monitor any health/body condition progress.

Important Notes Before Consultation

Preserve the tongue coating: Please do not scrape or brush your tongue 24 hours before consultation.

Dietary control: Please avoid dark-coloured food (e.g.: coffee, strong tea, chocolate, curry, sweets etc.) in order to prevent stain or contaminate the tongue coating and affect the accuracy of tongue inspection

Cosmetic / Makeup Restrictions: Avoid wearing lipstick if possible to avoid interfering with the assessment of lip colour and tongue condition

Physical condition: Avoid strenuous exercise prior to your appointment, extreme emotional distress or consume alcohol to ensure an accurate pulse diagnosis

Unsuitable groups as follows:

Acute, Severe Conditions & Emergency Cases: Such as myocardial infarction, acute peritonitis, severe hemorrhage, displaced fractures, acute appendicitis, etc., will require immediate emergency medical treatment

Conditions Requiring Surgery: Certain solid tumors and severe organ lesions requires surgical intervention; Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) may serve as an auxiliary rehabilitation therapy post-surgery

Acute Psychiatric Episodes: Patients experiencing an acute mental breakdown or under the risk of harming to self or others

Patients with Cognitive Impairment and Inability to Communicate: TCM relies strongly on patient’s medical history (inquiry diagnosis). Patients with severe communication barriers and without family members/caregiver’s detailed medical history will result to inaccuracy and difficulties in diagnosis
