The practice of Chinese herbal medicine is a natural and holistic system of primary health care that is being used to assist people from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds. Chinese medicine refers to natural medicines and their processed substitutes that are guided by the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Featuring a unique theoretical system and practical applications, it is used for disease prevention, treatment assistance, rehabilitation, and health care, mainly consisting of botanical, animal, and mineral medicines. The true strength of Chinese medicine lies in "pattern differentiation and treatment" (Bian Zheng Lun Zhi)—even for the exact same symptom, prescriptions can vary significantly depending on an individual's constitution.

Treatment Plan:

Traditional Chinese Medicine emphasizes on a progressive approach. It is recommended for at least 3 to 4 weeks (one treatment) to stabilise the treatment results. The practitioner will adjust the prescription in stages based on follow-up evaluations.

Unsuitable groups:

Patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction

Patients with known allergies to Chinese herbal ingredients

Patients with critical illness

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding currently

Pre- and Post-treatment Precautions:

Dietary Restrictions: While taking medication, it is generally advised to avoid raw or cold, spicy, and oily food, as well as dark-coloured beverages (such as strong tea and coffee), to prevent interference with medication absorption. If you need to avoid any other specific food, the practitioner shall advise you.
